No Nuifish rendering account is required, and the completed export is not uploaded to a Nuifish server.
Stockfish analysis

Step through the game, follow the evaluation, compare the played move with Stockfish’s best alternative and look ahead at candidate lines.
Quick analysis gets a newly imported game moving. Standard and deeper options let you ask more of the engine, with configurable depth, candidate lines and analysis scope. Searches are bounded and may fall back when a position needs more time than the selected level allows.

Your games, ready to revisit
Find completed Chess.com games without copying PGN by hand.
Enter a public username to browse completed games made available through Chess.com’s read-only Published-Data API. Choose one and it joins your local Nuifish Chess library, ready for analysis, storytelling and export.
You can also import standard PGN files from Chess.com or elsewhere. Nuifish Chess does not ask for your Chess.com password and cannot access live games.
Repeated searches for the same player may show cached information for a short period. This respects Chess.com’s published caching and usage policy rather than repeatedly requesting unchanged data.
Mix the presentation
The board and the story do not have to wear the same theme.
Board and piece artwork can be selected independently from cinematic artwork. Keep a familiar Staunton board while giving the highlights a fantasy world—or combine a complete theme from board to final scene.
Classic Staunton is included and prepared automatically. Luminous Tides is included as an optional download. Sovereigns, Realms at War is available separately as a one-time purchase. Downloaded themes can be removed and restored when needed.
Privacy policy
Your chess library stays on your device.

Nuifish does not operate an account or cloud service containing your games, analysis or exported videos. Stockfish analysis and story processing take place on your iPhone or iPad.

Games and analysis
Imported PGNs, saved public games, games played in the app, explorations, engine analysis, story data and preferences are stored locally on your device. Nuifish does not receive this content.
Chess.com searches
When you choose to search, the public username you enter is sent directly from the app to Chess.com’s Published-Data API. Public game responses and HTTP cache information may be stored on your device to provide the feature responsibly. Chess.com processes those requests under its own terms and privacy practices.
Analysis
Stockfish runs inside the app. Positions and analysis requests are not sent to Nuifish or to an external chess-analysis service.
Video creation and sharing
Game Story and Full Game videos are rendered locally. Nuifish does not receive a copy. Sharing happens only when you open Apple’s share sheet; the destination you choose controls how the exported file is handled.
Themes and purchases
The official app uses Apple services to discover and download additional theme assets. Optional purchases and restoration are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Apple may process account, transaction and download information under Apple’s privacy policy; Nuifish does not receive your full payment details.
Analytics, advertising and tracking
Nuifish Chess does not include third-party advertising, cross-app tracking or a Nuifish analytics service. Ordinary App Store, operating-system and service-provider diagnostics may still be handled by Apple or the relevant provider according to your settings and their policies.
Deletion and retention
You can remove saved games and downloaded themes from within the app. Removing the app removes its locally stored data subject to the normal behaviour of your device and any backups you independently control. Files you previously shared are managed wherever you chose to save them.
Children and policy changes
Nuifish Chess does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users. If these practices change, this section will be updated and a new effective date will be shown.
